Happy valentine's day!!!!

Yayy it's my turn to blog today! I'm happy!

Okay, I shall share my 16 years of listening and analyzing music here. Through my 16 (to be) years of listening to music, be it epop, cpop, jpop or kpop, or just classical music, I have formulated a general categorizing for music. It will basically classify all of the songs in the world, and the best thing is, it is personal; so for everyone, the songs would be different in each category. NOt only that, using this category, you would know what song to listen whenever you turn on the computer/on your Ipod/ on your itunes/ choose a song from your friend's stolen Ipod! It is very cool!

But of course, if you listen to very little song, no worry! You can fill up the category as you grow old, and inevitably have to listen to some kind of music one way or another (you can never escape the realms of music! NEVER! MWUAHAHAHAHA!)

1. Heart music
Description: These kinds of song is your favourite. Your favourite of your favourite of your favourite. You will always feel happy when you listen to this, and when you listen to this kind of music, you take note of every single detail of it. But you can't listen to this kind of music too much at one go, it'll tire your brain too much, and make it unusually high. The special thing about this music is, it is only special to you, it may not appeal to everyone, hence this is like your song. It means a lot to you. Just to you.
Most of the time the song is emo and slow. If you listen to quite little songs this may not apply to you. But heart songs are the best. You should really find one. You will never, never, get sick of heart songs. NEVER!!!!!!!

How to identify: When you first hear it, the lyrics and the melody made you perk up immediately. Like you are half sleeping, and blah. Then this song played for the first time, and you are listening to it for the first time, and you perked up immediately. It affects your emotions so bad, so very bad, that you cry when you first hear it. (Over extreme, but it happens to me once)

Examples (for liwei only): don't speak by no doubt

2. Entertainment music
Description: Entertainment music takes up most population of your Ipod songs. Basically, it's for entertainment. Most people will like it. Everybody loves it. So it's not special. You can never get too sick of it. You would want to listen to it to get you really really high. Most pop songs are entertainment music.

How to identify: You liked this kind of music ever since the first time you heard it. But you won't react so strongly as compared to heart music. And you will go 'oh it's this song!' whenever it's played. For some people, when you listen, you would tap your finger and stuff, enjoying the music, but the lyrics and melody doesn't really get you emotionally work up. It will just make you high.

3. Grown music
Description: This kind of music is nice, but you won't realise the niceness of it at first. It could have potentially become your heart music, since it is actually so very nice, but since you didn't like it from your first hearing, it does not classify as a heart music for you. In other words, you grow for the music, the music grows in you, making you, who at first hated it, love it instead.
For me, it is mostly emo songs that doesn't get into my head the first time I heard it.

How to identify: The first time you hear it, you hated it (or maybe just didn't find it special). After hearing it more often, you realise how absolutely fantastic the music is, and after that you totally love the music like crazy. Love it like how you would love a heart song.

4. die out song
Description: The kind of song that you get sick of. You loved it a lot at first, so at first you absolutely love it, it was your heart music or entertainment music, then after a few months, you got sick of it/ you suddenly found out how much you hated it. So now it is a song that you will never ever like. Never. NEVER! So die out songs are songs that are transfered from other categories. You can never immediately have a die out song, because you need to love a die out song first before you hate it.

How to identify: You used to love it, now another minute of that song can get you irritated, so you absolutely hate it. You have deleted it from your playlist (or not if you are stupid and lazy like me).

Examples (for liwei only): Please don't stop the music by Rihanna

5. never liked music
Description: As the title says. Never liked. Hated from the start. People might like it, some people might love it, but you absolutely hate it. It won't even grow into you (of course if it eventually grows into you, it will get transferred to grown music).

How to identify: From the first time you heard it, you go like: what sort of music is this???? It remains in your heart ever since then.

Examples (for liwei only): Goodbye my lover by James Blunt

YAYYYYYY

DID YOU GUYS GET IT?

THESE ARE THE TYPE OF SONGS I ENCOUNTER, THEREFORE I AM CATEGORIZING IT NICELY!

Are you categorizing now? I would very much like to know your music! What's your heart music, what's the song that means the most to you? What's your entertainment music, what's the song that you wouldn't mind me singing all the time? What's your grown music, what's the song that you love? What's your die out music, so I can laugh at that song? What's your never liked music, so I can convince you that music is great and not music can be hated!!!!

Yay. If you are bored you can listen to the songs I linked. :) so you can get a better sense LOL. Remember to listen more than one time on the grown music, cuz you might not like it the first tim eyou hear it haha like me.

HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!!!!
