Hetalia Axis Powers

Today, we visited Kranji War memorial. I personally think that it's a memorable and enriching trip. I will hang the Japanese surrender form on my wall, to honour those that died defending for this country, to tell them, that in our hearts, their death and efforts will not, will never, ever, be in vain.

I realised that I know quite a lot of what happened in World War one and two. Either because of my brother (who kept showing me war films even if they are rated and I was underage *notice the use of was), or because of my slight (notice my use of word slight) interest in the other part of World War two. Or maybe it's just that I am not living in the rock after all and I might miraculously have some general knowledge despite how little I read the papers. (I mean, I sometimes still watch the news you know...)

And another reason, the biggest reason for my huge knowledge about World War one and two and the other countries involved in it, was because of...

HETALIA AXIS POWERS!!!!!!

Seriously, I learn a lot, I repeat, a lot of history from this show. You may not like animes, but this is one must-watch anime. I am not introducing this as an anime, but a simplified documentary of what happened in the world wars (a bit of parody too haha). So, in order to honour our soldiers that died, we should try our best to know what happened during those times.

BY WATCHING HETALIA!!! HAHA YAYY!

Let me briefly explain what happens. It is quite confusing since you're new to the characters and in the first episodes, there is an introduction to so many characters. But basically, it starts off with America trying to discuss about the environment (you know...global warming...) And they are having a world's conference.

If you noticed, the characters are portrayed in a very stereotypical way. Like how Greece is attracted to women, how America is so boastful and proud and hero-ish, how France hates both America and England, how Italy is so stupid and how serious Germany is haha.

It's really interesting, the way they portrayed each countries. I really want Singapore to appear...I want to know how Singapore would be like. We would probably be very bootlicker-ish haha and trying to please every single country. Haha. I would totally love this anime better if Singapore appears!

I hope you guys like this. If not, go ahead and complain lol. But it's so nice, how could you not like it? Oh well.

If you liked it (very good!), then you can continue your watch here (which is also where I downloaded the video...)

Yay. Know more about History. And love Switzerland and Liechtenstein :) Haha and Germany (but I personally prefer Holy Roman Empire!)
